My head was constantly stimulated from my phone, but I never actually got anything done. I got tired of the noise. I'd been curious about stained glass for ten years and never made time for it. So I finally did.
Since then I've been picking up things I'm bad at on purpose. Stained glass is the big one. I've broken more pieces of glass than I care to admit, made a two-toed raven, and set off a shower of tiny shards into my own fingertips more times than I'd like.
Lead lines hold a stained glass piece together. Most people look at a piece and only see the glass. But to anyone who's actually made one, the lines matter just as much. They're the structure, a design element, the backbone, and soldering them well is the hardest part of the whole process (for me, anyways). That's what this blog is about too. Not the pretty, finished result, but the part underneath it that's actually hard to get right.
Whenever I looked for this stuff myself, all I found were random Facebook and Reddit posts. So figured I'd write down what I was actually looking for in case this helps someone else too.
